17 Years of Roy’s Record Room on CKUA

This Sunday, Roy Forbes marks seventeen years of Triple-R Radio on CKUA by spinning a bunch of listener highlights sent in by RRR fans. It’ll be a wild, eclectic musical ride, ranging from the first country music recording from 1922 (Eck Robertson) to the psychedelic sounds of the Paupers from 1967. In between, you’ll hear some jazz, blues, country, R&B, soul, big-band, rock ‘n’ roll, and so much more. All chosen by the folks who tune in to The Room every week.

The response has been so strong that the party will continue on the April 16th program. If you want to get in on the fun, there is still time to let Roy know about a tune you’ve heard on RRR that you’d like to hear again. Send an e-mail to roy@ckua.com or use the Open Mic feature on the CKUA app to send an audio message.

Meanwhile, join the celebration of this long-running radio show on Sunday, April 9th, 2 PM, Mountain, via CKUA. We’re marking seventeen years of revolving and revealing on Rooooy’s Record Room.
