This week, Roy picks out a few of his favourite 45s from the RRR archives for a lively hour of Triple-R Radio. The Staples Singers cover Buffalo Springfield. Wilma Lee & Stony Cooper countrify a Leadbelly folk standard. The Trials of Jayson Hoover provide some psychedelic Vancouver R&B circa 1968. Lambert, Hendricks & Ross prove why they were called the hottest (vocal) group in jazz. Dusty Springfield foreshadows “Good Vibrations”.
