A Fingerfulla British Invasion 45s

In the aftermath of the Beatles’ culture-shifting appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964, it seemed like every time you turned on the radio, you’d hear yet another ‘beat group’ from the British Isles. That’s what’s on the RRR playlist this week. Roy has dug out a Fingerfulla British Invasion 45s (circa 1964-1966) featuring singles from the Kinks, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Lulu, the Beatles, the Dave Clark 5, Sandi Shaw, the Hollies, Manfred Mann, and so many more. In true Triple-R Radio fashion, Roy throws in many lesser-known hits and cool B-sides.

The spin begins this Sunday, April 14th, 2 PM, Mountain, on donor supported CKUA Radio. Dial in for a fascinating listen to A Fingerfulla British Invasion 45s on Roooooy’s Record Room. Eighteen years of revolving and revealing.
